Nate Silver Visiting Wash U Today!

The big day is here! WUPR is proud to bring the wonderful Nate Silver to Graham Chapel at 6 PM, today, Monday February 11th. He is a writer, blogger, public figure, and statistician extraordinaire. Silver crunched the numbers to correctly predict the winner of every state in the 2012 Presidential Election and virtually every U.S. Senate Race. In his New York Times blog, FiveThirtyEight, and his new book, The Signal and the Noise: Why Many Predictions Fail but Some Don’t, Silver applies his methods not only to politics but to subjects ranging from baseball to chess to poker to climate change.

Please try to get to Graham Chapel by 5.30, as seats are limited and they will fill up quickly. Silver’s talk will be followed by a reception and book signing in Umrath Lounge at 7.
