For the Boys,
Not quite Men—not really,
All those who cheered in thunderous Applause,
(They did not see me, nor did they care);
I heard you,
Mere buildings away.
I will remember you,
and I will look for you in every face, in every eye.
Are you a friend of mine?
A parent? A professor?
Who is it that has cheered, perhaps unknowingly,
for the death of my Liberty?
Do you think of me,
as much as I think of you?
Decry them, Father;
For they know exactly what they do.
